Post Cosmetic Surgery
Lymphatic Drainage
Lymphatic Drainage is an essential technique for those that have undergone cosmetic surgery. While you are healing from surgery, your body swells in and around the area that was treated. This swelling, while normal, can be painful and many times needs manual help in being removed from your body. First and foremost, follow your doctor's instructions. Second, wear your compression garment. It's the first line of defense in keeping the swelling down.
Next, come in for Lymphatic Drainage with us. We have extensive experience in helping our clients gain pain relief from the swelling occurring in and around the surgical sites. Another complication we see with our clients post-surgery is the presence of ridges where the tissue was manipulated for the surgery. With proper bodywork, the feeling of these ridges can be reduced or eliminated. Giving you the smooth feeling that you are expecting from your surgery.
In order to get the best results with post surgery lymphatic drainage, you will likely be coming in for sessions at least twice per week for 3-8 weeks. Because we are a small business, we require prepayment for all post cosmetic surgery sessions. We have packages available as well. If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, please give us a call and we will be happy to discuss your case.
If you choose to make an appointment online with either Beth Jenkins or Lea Thomasson, we will contact you in order to prepay for the appointment. Please note that the price for the Post-Op Lymphatic Drainage is at a higher rate than our normal Lymphatic Drainage session. Post-Op care requires us to prepare and break down for each appointment differently and requires a higher skill set to ensure your safety.
Please note that we have a strict 24 hour cancellation policy. If you have to cancel within the 24 hours, you will be charged full price for your missed session. If you feel that your fee should be waived, you must speak with the owner, Rebecca Manitsas, and we will discuss your case specifically.
